What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Listen to what your stomach tells you.
What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Every day I get to work with leaders who have the ability to inspire others. It’s a privilege to work with people who want to develop themselves and others – and are comfortable confiding in you and seeking your help on how best to do that.
Who is your favourite leader, and why?
Mandela, for his sheer inspiration, strength, positivity and generosity of spirit– exactly what you hope your leaders will have. I’m not sure who else could teach us so much about the human spirit.
What is your favourite business book, and why?
'The EQ Edge – Emotional Intelligence and your success' – a very straightforward introduction to Emotional Intelligence and how important it is to our ability to deal successfully with all aspects of our lives.
What tune do you sing in the shower?
Any dancing song – but you could never call it a tune. Can’t hold one of those.
What would you invent?
A time travelling machine that gave me the ability to transport myself to another place instantly – without the hassle of airport check in or the ignominy of travel sickness.
